Orthodontics
Early Treatment Is Key

Studies show that 75% of all 12 year old children need some form of orthodontic treatment, but, by age twelve, 90% of a child's face has already developed. By guiding facial development earlier, through the use of functional appliances, 80% of treatment can be corrected before adult teeth are present.

Younger children, between the ages of eight and 11, are often much more cooperative than children of 12 to 14. This makes orthodontic intervention easier. Another advantage of early treatment is that children will need to wear braces on their permanent adult teeth for less time. It has also been determined that as many as 50% of the children who need orthodontic treatment have underdeveloped lower jaws. This structural problem is the primary cause of a bad bite. Functional appliances can reposition the lower jaw forward, improve the child's profile and correct the bite problem within as little as 7-9 months!

For all these reason, early diagnosis, intervention and treatment of orthodontic problems is to your child's advantage. We welcome your inquiries.
