NITROUS OXIDE SEDATION
We are committed to making every possible effort to make our patient's experiences in our office as comfortable and pleasant as they can be. Despite the warm, caring atmosphere we provide, we understand that there still are some patients who are nervous about visits to the dentist and some children who are skittish about the going to the dentist's office. One of the options we make available to such patients is the use of Nitrous Oxide Sedation.
Commonly known as "laughing gas," Nitrous Oxide relieves anxiety and relaxes the patient. It is totally
safe for children as well as for adults. Nitrous Oxide provides a rapid onset of action, in other words,
it works really quickly, and has a complete recovery time of between three and five minutes.
It almost never causes an allergic reaction and may be used in combination with other sedation
(i.e., other local anesthesia) methods.
Because there is nothing more important to an anxious, fearful or phobic patient than a pleasant, pain-free dental experience, we are pleased to be able to offer Nitrous Oxide Sedation.
