Why do individuals snore
and is there a way to help them stop?
As you sleep, your tongue, the muscles and the tissues surrounding your airway relax, thereby reducing the size of its opening. As you breathe, these tissues vibrate, sometimes at almost deafening levels.

How can you stop snoring?
Excess weight, alcohol consumption and sedatives can each cause snoring. Medical treatment involving the use of an air pressure machine or surgery to remove excess tissue has a success rate of less than 50%. It is for that reason that we recommend a much less intrusive method, a snoring appliance. Snoring appliances are worn in the mouth at night, much like retainers. They gently reposition your jaws to optimize the size of the airway while your sleep. With proper evaluation, snoring appliances can be effective 90% of the time!

If you or your loved one has a snoring problem an appliance may help you and them get a good night's sleep.
